ENTERGY
New Orleans, Louisiana
This ambitious venture involves the implementation of a 5 MW distributed solar pilot program, a visionary initiative that was formalized through the signing of an agreement in June 2018. The diligent efforts of both Influent and Entergy have culminated in the completion of these groundbreaking projects in 2020.
One of the key aspects that sets Influent Energy apart is its ingenious approach to achieving renewable energy goals by harnessing underutilized commercial-rooftop space. Through strategic rooftop leasing agreements with clients across New Orleans, as well as a notable 296 kW system installed on an Entergy facility, Influent ensured the effective utilization of all available resources. Collaborating with entities like Transportation Consultants, Inc. (TCI), the University of New Orleans, and a local business owner, Influent has established solar systems atop various warehouse rooftops, with the largest single solar rooftop system in Louisiana set to grace a TCI warehouse during this pilot program.
The inception of Influent Energy was fueled by the vision of engaging in large-scale solar installations while forging powerful partnerships with utility providers. The company specializes in the comprehensive development, design, and commissioning of distributed solar generation projects. Excitement abounds as we collaborate with local subcontracted solar installers in New Orleans, a testament to our commitment to achieving resounding project success.
This endeavor is not only an incredible milestone for Entergy New Orleans in expanding their renewable energy portfolio but also an opportunity to invigorate the local economy through the utilization of community subcontractors. At Influent Energy, we are driven by our unwavering dedication to sustainable progress and meaningful contributions to the communities we serve.
